An empty lantern provides no light.
Self-care is the fuel that allows your light to shine.
If you’ve been doing everything for everyone else lately — and still feeling guilty for needing rest, help, or space — I want you to know something:
The way you care for yourself matters.
And you deserve the same compassion you so freely give to the people you love.
If your best friend came to you feeling overwhelmed, you wouldn’t judge her.
You’d soften.
You’d remind her she’s doing her best.
You’d offer kindness.
You deserve that same tenderness.
💛 This Week’s Peace Pause: A Breath Practice for Compassion
Find a comfortable seat.
Let your shoulders drop. Unclench your jaw. Rest your hands on your heart.
Begin to breathe gently. Softly. Slowly.
As you inhale, silently say to yourself:
“Breathe in compassion.”
As you exhale:
“Breathe out criticism.”
Inhale again:
“Breathe in grace.”
Exhale:
“Breathe out guilt.”
Repeat for 5 rounds — letting each breath remind you:
💛 You are allowed to be gentle with yourself.
Take care of yourself — peace follows. 💛

P.S. If you have a friend who’s been carrying a lot lately, feel free to forward this or share my free 5-Minute Peace Reset with them — it’s a simple way to breathe, reset, and feel inner peace 👉 https://www.you1styoga.ca/pages/peace
