Find Peace through Gratitude

Gratitude is one of the simplest self-care practices — and one of the most powerful.
A few years ago, during a particularly difficult season, I started keeping a gratitude journal. Some days it felt hard to think of even three things I was thankful for. But little by little, when I began focusing on the small blessings in front of me — a warm cup of hot chocolate, my child’s laughter, the beauty of a sunset — I realized how quickly my page filled up.
And with it, my heart began to feel lighter. My spirit softer. My days more peaceful.
Now, I try to never miss a night. Gratitude has become my daily pause — a gentle reminder that even in life’s hardest seasons, there is always something good waiting to be noticed.
Each evening this week, take a few moments to reflect and write down three small things you’re grateful for.
They don’t have to be big or profound.
Just simple moments that made your day a little brighter — like:
A kind word from a friend
The sound of autumn leaves crunching underfoot
The quiet comfort of your favorite blanket
When we focus on our blessings instead of our problems, peace naturally follows.
