Practicing Being Still

One of the biggest things I've learnt from my yoga practice is the importance of PRACTICING being still. Thessalonians 4:3 Study to be quiet. Corpse Pose, Savasana (shah-VAH-sah-nah or shih-VAH-snah) is the final resting pose a the end of almost every yoga practice. It looks like the easiest pose to practice, you are just laying down & holding still but it truly is the the hardest to master. It is so difficult for me to be still, my mind always racing, worrying, preparing, thinking. As I try to practice daily stillness & follow the Savior, it helps me feel more peace & calm. Sometimes that‘a laying down on my yoga mat, sometimes that's closing my eyes and taking a few deep breathes before getting out of the car & other times staying on my kneels a little longer once I'm done praying. A big part of self care is giving yourself daily permission to practice pausing. Our bodies benefit from movement but our minds from stillness
