Anxious? Start with three deep breaths. 💛

On Monday, our 2nd daughter passed her driver’s test.
It was a proud and exciting milestone — but I won’t lie… it has stirred up a lot of anxiety in me.
Even though she was ready, I'm not sure I am. The thought of her driving alone — in the dark, in winter — has sent my nervous system into full alert.
When anxiety shows up loud and strong, I try to remember one of the most powerful tools to calm anxiety is something we always carry with us: The breath.
💛 This Week’s Peace Pause: Breathe Through It
When we’re stuck in fight-or-flight — feeling anxious, tense, or overwhelmed — it only takes three slow deep, conscious breaths to begin shifting our body into rest-and-digest mode.
Try it right now:
1️⃣ Inhale gently through your nose — feel your ribcage expand.
2️⃣ Exhale slowly through your mouth — like fogging up a mirror.
3️⃣ Repeat two more times.
That’s it.
Noticing your breath… and allowing it to soften you… is one of the kindest things you can do when anxiety shows up.
I created Peace Practices during a time when anxiety felt constant. And lately, as life brings new challenges, I find myself returning to the exact tools I shared in that course — breath, movement, journaling, and mindfulness.
Peace Practices is a gentle, self-paced online self-care course designed for women who feel overwhelmed, stretched too thin, or quietly carrying too much.
Each week, you receive:
• short video lessons (5–10 minutes)
• reflective journaling prompts
• a weekly meditation, slow flow, or chair yoga practice
All designed to support your body, mind, heart, and spirit — and help you feel more grounded and calm, especially when life feels messy.
If anxiety has been close lately…
If you’ve been craving space to breathe and settle your nervous system…
Peace Practices might be the support you need right now.

Sometimes, peace begins with a single breath.
Take care of yourself — peace follows. 💛
